The Bean is my first attempt at making a large power kite. To see how I made the Bean take a look at my manufacturing photoreport.
This weekend the Bean1.0 had it's first flight!!! The wind was pretty low (1~2 Bft) and I didn't expect the Bean to fly. But Sandra took the kite in the air straight the first time!! After the first akward 20 min. or so (first time 4-liner!), the kite flew like a dream! It was much more easy than I expected (no bloopers in manufacturing, Yipee!)
You could feel the potential it would have at >5Bft..... Let's build the 2.5!!!!!!!!
